We watched Vin Diesel’s “Triple X” last night. It has some sweet action scenes (jumping a corvette off a bridge, tearing through a war zone on a dirt bike…). However, the best part of the flick was the 1967 Pontiac GTO he drove.

While the Chev Stingray is a sleek and powerful sports car, the Pontiac GTO was a pure muscle car. While it was only build for ten years (1964 to 1974), it left a legend.
Of course, Vin Diesel's GTO in the movie was decked out with rocket launchers, flamethrowers, guns, popcorn maker, parachutes, gauges (lots of them), and a ton of other cool action flick stuff. If only they made a production model….
Note that Pontiac did tried to reintroduce the GTO in 2003 – only the design was HORRIBLE!!! Instead of building off of the legend of the past, Pontiac took the frame of the Australian made Holden Monaro and put a body on it. The result was terrible!

The car looks like every other car on the market!!! How is it suppose to a sports car?! Grrrrrr…..
After Triple X, well, sorry but James Bond is just too slow!
Aftr Trple X, 007-too slow!
